Golden Trumpet

This tree is native to Brazil and popularly known as 'ipe-amarelo'.  It is traditionally used in folk medicine as well as being used in a wide variety of pharmaceutical forms which help in the treatment of  peptic ulcers and diabetes.  It is fragrant and is a popular tree to plant along streets and in parks.  When in bloom it is vibrant and full, and can be seen from a great distance.
